Bosch Global Software Technologies CEO, president, and managing director, Dattatri Salagame, gave a special talk to the participants of the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Visakhapatnam on Wednesday. The session was organized as part of the first campus immersion module for the EMBA Batch 2023-2025.
During his talk on ‘leading in changing times’, Dattatri focused on the changes occurring in various areas such as geopolitics, technology, consumer behavior, societies, workforce dynamics, and sustainability. He discussed the competencies and leadership approach required to lead during such changing times, emphasizing the need for hypothesis-based decision making, shared value creation, and multidimensional leadership. Using the automotive industry as an example, Dattatri explained how Bosch is transforming from an industrial behemoth to a technology leader.
The director of IIM Visakhapatnam, Prof M Chandrasekhar, expressed the institute’s commitment to providing high-quality management education to working professionals. He also stated that the institute will continue designing and delivering programs to assist corporate leaders in creating innovative solutions for business, government, and society.
The event was attended by Veera Reddy Dwarampudi, BGSW head of government and corporate relations, and Manoj Ekkundi, BGSW manager of mobility solutions in the office of the president and managing director. Prof Happy Paul, the chairperson of the EMBA program, Prof Preeti Virdi, chairperson of executive education programs, and other faculty and staff of IIM Visakhapatnam also participated in the program.
